About This Station

The station is powered by a 1-wire Network weather station. The data is collected every 2 seconds and the site is updated every 5 seconds. This site and its data is collected using Weather Display Software. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor, solar sensor, and a UV meter situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.

We also have an additional 3 weather stations in operation, an Oregon Scientific WMR968, Oregon Scientific WM918, and a Zephyr Instruments PWS-1000TD. These stations serve to verify the accuracy of the main station, and are available to be placed online in the event of a component failure in the main station.This site is a public service. It was originally put online in May of 2004 and has been in continous operation since then. Our data is made available to the National Weather Service and a host of other weather sites including Weather Underground, Anything Weather, CWOP (#CW0645), PWS Weather and AWEKAS.
